    LAS VEGAS (AP) - Former UNLV coach Jerry Tarkanian is expected to leave a Las Vegas hospital soon after doctors performed a diagnostic procedure and determined no immediate surgical treatment was needed.Tarkanian's son-in-law, Zafi Diamant, said the 83-year-old Tarkanian underwent a catheterization procedure Thursday morning. Diamant says no issues called for immediate attention, although other cardiologists are expected to review the findings from the procedure.

(AP) - Kentucky guard James Young will enter the NBA draft, becoming the first of the Wildcats' heralded freshmen to turn pro.The 6-foot-6 Young led Kentucky with 82 3-pointers last season. He was one of six high school All-American recruits on a Wildcats squad that began the season No. 1 with expectations of winning the national championship. His 43 percent shooting from long range in the NCAA tournament helped Kentucky reach the final before it lost 60-54 to Connecticut last week.

    LOS ANGELES (AP) - Jordan Adams will return to UCLA for his junior season and won't enter the NBA draft.The sophomore guard from Atlanta said Thursday he's had fun playing college basketball and he's excited about the team the Bruins will have next year. They'll be without sophomore Kyle Anderson and freshman Zach LaVine, both of whom said this week they're leaving school early to go pro.

Some clarity began to emerge Thursday, when guard James Young became the first to announce that he will enter the NBA draft, leaving forward Julius Randle and twin guards Andrew and Aaron Harrison to decide if they will follow him as speculated or return for another season.

    Jabari Parker is hoping to become Duke's latest one-and-done star to become the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft.The 6-foot-8 All-American forward said Thursday he'll enter the NBA draft after being the highest-scoring freshman in Duke history. He was also the first freshman to lead the Blue Devils in scoring and rebounding, and the first freshman in three decades to be selected team MVP.
