(AP) - Kentucky's frontcourt will bring back size and experience next season after freshman center Dakari Johnson and sophomore forward Alex Poythress announced they would return.The 7-foot Johnson started 18 of Kentucky's final 20 games and shot 62 percent during the NCAA tournament. Poythress averaged 5.9 points and 4.5 rebounds and showed more flashes of his talent during the Wildcats' run to the national title game.

(AP) - After becoming the only LSU player other than Shaquille O'Neal to block 100 shots in a season, Jordan Mickey has decided to remain with the Tigers at least one more year.Mickey made his announcement alongside LSU coach Johnny Jones on Wednesday. He says the feedback he's received from the NBA is that he needs ''to get bigger, stronger and faster'' before turning pro.

    RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Former Vanderbilt assistant basketball coach David Cason has joined Shaka Smart's staff at Virginia Commonwealth.Smart made the announcement Wednesday. Cason replaces Mike Rhoades, who left to take over at Rice.Cason spent the past three seasons at Vanderbilt. He was on the staff in 2012 when the Commodores won their first Southeastern Conference in nearly 20 years. He also worked for six seasons at Tulsa, where he was on the same staff as current VCU assistant Jeremy Ballard.

    WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - Arnaud William Adala Moto is transferring from Wake Forest.New coach Danny Manning announced the forward's decision Wednesday.Adala Moto made 11 starts and played in all 33 games as a sophomore last season, averaging 6.9 points and 5.2 rebounds.

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Louisville has hired Kenny Johnson as a Cardinals assistant coach.Johnson had been an assistant and recruiting coordinator the past two years at Indiana, putting together top-20 recruiting classes both seasons, including a top-five group last year. The Hoosiers went 46-22 during his time under Tom Crean, winning the Big Ten Conference title and earning a No. 1 seed in last year's NCAA Tournament.

    CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - K.J. McDaniels wanted to play in the NBA from the time he first picked up a basketball. Now, the Clemson forward says he's ready to turn that dream into reality.McDaniels announced this week he'd forgo his senior season to take part in the NBA draft. He led the Tigers in scoring, rebounding, blocks, steals and 3-pointers, joining Wake Forest's Josh Howard in 2002-03 as the only Atlantic Coast Conference players to accomplish that feat.
